This classroom-based workshop is the second in a series of workshops on Excel offered by the Data Academy. It builds on the fundamentals of Excel and introduces more advanced formulas and ways to manipulate and format data in spreadsheets.
This course assumes some comfort with Excel, including a basic understanding of formulas and standard functions and capabilities of Excel. By the end of the class, you’ll have the fundamentals of skills that will help you to do basic analysis, manipulation, and summary of datasets.

- Review Excel Basics (reference, filtering/ sorting)
- Date and Time Functions
- Count Functions (Count, Countif, Countifs)
- Text Functions (Len, Trim, Concatenate)
- Logical Functions (IF and AND)
- Lookup Functions (VLOOKUP and Index/Match)
- Basics of Conditional Formatting
- De-duplicating data
- Pivot Tables
- Formatting Charts
