<div id="_mcePaste" style="overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px;">With your help, we&#8217;ve made history by providing the City &amp; County of San Francisco with a new mechanism for gathering input from individuals using</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px;">free open source technology. This initiative set out to share as much City data as possible with the public as well as provide an opportunity to vote and comment on datasets. While we have a long way to go, our goal is to help translate your suggestions into actual outcomes. To that end, we have two exciting pieces of news to share with you. First, Mayor Gavin Newsom issued an executive directive that requires City departments to make non-confidential datasets available on DataSF [link to PDF http://www.sfmayor.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/ED-09-06-Open-Data.pdf]. The executive directive also requires City departments to review suggestions made on DataSF and respond to his Office every quarter with status. Second, we are taking action with the suggestions on DataSF and have released the top requested dataset, street sweeping schedule.</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="overflow: hidden; position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px;">Thank you again for participating in DataSF, sharing your ideas, and helping make San Francisco the most transparent City in our nation.</div>
