I'd like to suggest data regarding variances, historic designations and building outlines be made open and available in a usable format (not a PDF please). I see another suggestion for building outlines so this is just to second that idea. The historic and variances are helpful to know which properties have either received special consideration given their constraints or will need to be protected going forward. Thanks!
The City and County of San Francisco has a new open data site: Data.SFGov.org.

Historic Designations. Hopefully these should be published in the next couple of weeks.
Building outlines. The Planning Department does have building footprint data but we were given this data with the understanding that it was for internal use only. So, we can't publish the raw data unfortunately.
