It's hard to find parking in San Francisco without running the risk of being towed because of overly complex parking rules, faded curbs, or obscured signs.
I'd like to see a dataset that includes:
- Street-sweeping zoning
- Parking zoning by street address (including meters, passenger loading zones, commercial only, etc...)
Purpose:
Enabling map mashups or GPS-enabled devices to help determine whether a potential parking space would result in the vehicle being towed.
The City and County of San Francisco has a new open data site: Data.SFGov.org.
